Summer is still on in Sweden

Midsummer is gone - the weather is still amazing here in Trollstigen. Norrbyskär was fantastic, people had to be early to get on the ferry! It was accordeon music at the harbor. The ferry was actually made, and has been working in Norway earlier. And the fishing is very good - Lasse got a big one today in Bjurholm. I have been doing things to make my old car work ok, and now it is spinning like the engine was when it was new in 1986. Nissan is strong!

Visit from Bodø and Tromsø - in transition to Sweden

We got Turid, Hanna and Cora visiting - they were on to Sweden at the weekend. It's Midsummer in Sweden, also, a great weekend, “and very much better weather than we have here, " someone said. They also got a "tour" into Elisabeth's greenhouse, we can see the tomatoes and the Cucumber growing there. The rest of the family follows in a few days. We are pinned down in a little rain and some sunshine, but it is as it should be first in the summer, the grass will grow, and we must get the plants to thrive, so it may be summer later, when we finally have our vaccation.

A weekend with visitors and social time

We have again had a pretty social weekend - we had a visit from Aunt Karin &  Ambjørn from Molde, (10 yrs since last visit) - we have visited Jorunn a lot, who has been ill. And relatives have been here. I was in Saltstraumen Church and filmed the wedding of Hege and Lennart, then I got me a bit of accordion concert at the hotel there. A very eventful weekend. Now we are waiting Marielle & Marcus on the way back from Sweden.

The Swedes are mobilizing for the summer -

The Swedes are mobilizing for the summer - the tourists will have steel to run on. A completely new experiment - they put reinforcement in the asfalt. Otherwise, we met Marielle & Marcus & Emil on Tjernfjellet, they were on their way to Hørnefors for a longweekend. Back home here we met "TanteKarin" & Ambjørn & Rita on their visit her for a long weekend. Karin & Ambjørn travelled with "Hurtigruten", from Molde to Bodø, and will take the trip back home the same way, Monday. Jorunn is not well, we all visited her today/afternoon.

The summer continues in Trollstigen 4 - Hörnefors på sitt beste!

Today we had a lot of work out in the garden again - despite the heat, it was ok. It was easier when there was little wind, and now the lawn is trimmed and the plants are fixed – the strawberries are ready to be, the birds will not eat anything this year. I hope they do not get stuck in the net. Botnia Line races past Hörnefors in 275 km per hour, we had an earthquake yesterday at 10:30 p.m.  Tonight we took a bike ride all the way to the sea, and so we visited Tore, who works on his bus. He has  a wonderful motif on the back wall, it is not finished yet, but it is very good. Painted on freehand! The bus will be a great happening, it will probably be finished soon. The Volvo started almost by itself, it is ok to get the car out of the garage now and then.

New design - Sweden working - The heat is on!

We went across the border, and it was summer! Now we are cutting the grass, and acquired a new lawn mower - twice. I Bought a very expensive and good Stiga, with El-start. The company JULA had to take it back, it worked for 15 minutes. When I called JULA, and wanted a new one, they were sour and cursed! After a time of many phones and pry a bit, we got the ultimate JULA Shop in Umeå to understand that we wanted a new machine that worked. Well back and forth, it ended up with excuses and gift-cards from the Company. Stiga plant said they had the best mower, but I do not know? Then I would like to have my tractor from back home, it always works only the air get in to the wheels! After today’s gift-card in addition to yesterday’s, one we now can soon buy a new Stiga again at JULA. The new machine started and worked perfectly - so far. Now it is clearly outside, and tomorrow the full sun, they say! They are testing Botnibanen here now, and hurtling past the 275 km per hour! Sweden can build the railway in 2010. Elisabeth has worked with flowers outside and planted on the grave in the cemetery, and the result is excellent. Everything grows well here in Hörnefors. We found a nice vase for the pens from Kaptein Sabel-Tann's hotel in Kristiansand. And we remind you that the Soccer World Cup is on, Emil had his test at Skavmoen. Glenn transported the rest of the Sheep ready for summercamp. Emil removed the supporting wheels.... Then check the higest speed on my Garmin!!  The heat is on!

 

 

 

Grensløst entreprenørskap - Border show Norway/Sweden

Today it was a great show with preschools from Norway and Sweden - (600 kids) with parents and leaders, the kids sang and made choir with Malin Reitan, Ola Swensson from Sweden, and the group Inculkado from Fauske - great show and music from an outdoorscene placed on the border between Norway and Sweden along RV95/77. Later Turid came visiting from Evensgård, and Elisabeth showed her last handwork, and the nice cactus flower with 16 flowers on this year, one more than last year.
